Peter Clark is a Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets Syndicate for Huatai Securities (USA) in New York City. Peter is the primary conduit between the firm, it’s global investor clients, issuers, and the broad array of Syndicate desks across America and Hong Kong. In conjunction with Sales and Trading, Peter fills the role of a primary distribution agent, providing cross-border access to the A-Share, H-Share, and US Registered ADR offerings in which Huatai is involved.
Peter has over two decades of experience as a Global Syndicate Manager with particular focus on Cross-Border execution methodology. Having honed the practice as a veteran on many of the worlds largest and most prominent IPOs, Peter has gone on to manage IPOs and Follow-On offerings not only in the US and Asia, but also throughout Europe and Latin America. Through this experience, Peter has become a trusted counterpart among many of the Street’s most senior Syndicate members across Bulge Bracket firms who remain well connected in their practice.
Prior to joining Huatai in NY, Peter acted as an Executive Director to CICC Securities in the US, fulfilling the Syndicate execution function between 2018-2021.
Prior to CICC, Peter spent 16 years on the Syndicate Desk of JPMorgan in NY, where he helped pioneer the development of cross-border bookbuild capabilities in partnership with foreign regions. Lastly, prior to JPMorgan, Peter provided support to the Syndicate and International Equity trading desks at Morgan Stanley between 1995-2000.
Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Colorado with a Major in International Affairs, and a minor in German Language, and early in his career was awarded a Certificate of Germany Literacy by the German American Chamber of Commerce as sponsored by the Deutsches Haus at NYU.
Kevin McGunnigle is an Executive Director at Huatai Securities (USA) with over 15 years of experience in US and Asian equity markets.
Prior to joining Huatai, Kevin led the North American equity sales team for China Renaissance (US), responsible for the distribution of advisory services and capital markets transactions to US and Canadian investors. While at China Renaissance, Kevin led the US distribution for many high profile public and private capital raises across “New Economy” sectors including internet, fintech, new retail, healthcare and tech.
Prior to that, Kevin started his career with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he spent 11 years advising US-based investors focused on US and Asian equities.
Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts from Providence College.
Wei Liu is a Director on the Institutional Sales team at Huatai Securities (USA) specialized in corporate access and equity sales. He has over a decade of experience in US and Asian equities, creating a channel between institutional investors and corporations in North America and Greater China region.
Prior to joining Huatai, Wei spent 10 years at the equity team of MUFG Securities Americas in New York, leading the corporate access business while covering institutional clients in both US and Great China. He also collaborated with capital markets team for equity distribution as well as creating bespoke investor events for corporate clients.
Prior to joining MUFG, Wei worked as an analyst at Pinnacle Associates, and as a client associate at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Prior to that, he was a business manager at China Tietong Telecommunications Corporation in Beijing.
Wei received his MPA in Public Finance from Indiana University Bloomington, and BA in English and International Trade from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Junqi is an analyst on Institutional Securities team at Huatai Securities (USA). Prior to joining Huatai Securities (USA), Junqi worked for Morgan Stanley as Fixed Income trading support analyst.
Junqi received his Master of Science in Management from Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UC San Diego.
